(Note to readers: Charlie Hebdo means "Charlie Weekly"; "Charlie" because the magazine was briefly banned in 1970 while printed under the name Hara-Kiri Hebdo for satirising the death of Charles de Gaulle. Changing the name was a way to both sidestep the ban and stick two fingers up at the French political establishment.)
