"#Ed4PM": David Miliband tweets a picture of his postal vote for Labour

Even now, five years on, Ed Miliband still has to answer questions about how his poor mother coped with him running against his brother for the Labour leadership. Cries of "fratricide" and accusations of "backstabbing" have followed the younger Milibro ever since 2010, in spite of the electorate generally finding it perfectly reasonable that he ran against David.

And whispers have been circulating recently about when David, who moved to New York in 2013 to be CEO of the International Rescue Committee, would come out and support his brother as the next Prime Minister. It's no secret that the brothers' relationship is strained, to say the least, but David – when asked – has always been outwardly supportive of his brother.

So it seems significant, and rather sweet, to this mole that he has tweeted a picture of his postal vote (in an envelope, before you explode, Mark Reckless) giving Ed his hashtag backing, unprompted:
